I’m working on eating better and staying a bit healthier than I have been…sometimes work tends to wear you down and you don’t even realize your diet has turned into a day in the life of a broke college freshman. I ate a stale donut and some microwave mac and cheese for dinner 3 days in a row last week and feel pretty awful about it. To get on track, I started making different fruit infused waters to help with certain issues like digestion and detox. So far my favorite is this citrus blend with mint leaves. I’ve tried lots of different fruits, but my favorite is this mix of citrus. Nothing is better with water on a hot day, plus the health benefits are top notch.
Lime: Great for skin, loads of Vitamin C, good for digestion and weight loss.
Lemon: Helps to keep you calm and cool, packed with Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, potassium, and lots of other good stuff.
Grapefruit: Perfect for heart health, with its fiber, potassium, and lycopene. I used to eat half a grapefruit every morning!
Orange: Great source of Vitamin C and Fiber.
Mint: This may be good for digestion, but I love a hint of mint in my water.
