i hate scary movies. hate. them. i actually got nightmares from watching too many walking dead episodes before bed. ha! at the end of the day, i’d rather kick back and laugh to seinfeld, the office, or futurama. once october hits, i get into holiday mode until the new year. now that it’s october, i already have my movie list for the holidays. for halloween, i love some classics and a few new ones that recently came out. here’s a list of my favorite, not terrifying, halloween movies that are so good you will watch them over and over.
THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
this is one of my favorites! if you haven’t been to disneyland this time of year you’re missing out. the haunted mansion transforms into the nightmare before christmas!
IT’S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN
i just love charlie brown. i for sure watch the christmas special too!
i love these women and i don’t understand why my girlfriends and i haven’t dressed up as the sanderson sisters for halloween.
i love when movies portray a monster as an average joe, like us. this movie came out in 2012 and a second one just came out. they’re cute.
THE SIMPSONS TREEHOUSE OF HORROR
like most people, i love the simpsons and grew up watching them. they have every halloween episode ever on these dvds and i love to binge watch this time of year. i also go through a bunch of tv shows specifically watching halloween ones.
who doesn’t like singing skeletons and a romantic storyline?
i know, not a movie, but i do love this show and the halloween episodes are fun! plus there is a laugh track. i kinda miss those.
THE ADDAMS FAMILY
a great and creepy family movie. i like the second, but this is one is my jam.
THE TWILIGHT ZONEthere are some solid dvds out there with the best episodes. there are so many it’s kind of cray cray.
EEK! a little boy brings his dog back to life and trouble ensues! it’s so freaking adorable.
i remember not watching this as a kid because i felt so sorry for him! i like it now though, but damn it’s kind of sad.
