i absolutely love this time of year and trying to use seasonal ingredients and making every snack or meal holiday themed. when we were kids, my mom would set aside a day to make treats that corresponded with the current holiday or season. for christmas we would use cranberries, gingerbread, and christmas cookie cutters for everything, for thanksgiving it was pumpkin, and for halloween it was an alright-just-go-for-it-girls kind of treat…so pretty much a hodgepodge of creepy crawly food and oreo crumbs for dirt. it seems like a crime to not “halloween-ify” my food for october. now that i am an adult and no one telling me i can’t eat cookies for dinner, i decided to round up some adorable treats that i plan to create this month!
