peppermint is such a great scent for the holidays! i always get peppermint ice cream, crush even more candy canes in it, then top it off with hot fudge and whipped cream! drooooool. okay, so this scrub isn’t quite the same deliciousness as ice cream, but the peppermint oil will invigorate the senses and wake you up on those lame monday mornings! a much needed service for myself. these also make perfect gifts, especially if you need to make a bunch at once!

S T E P S01 / depending on how many ounces your jar is, add the same number of ounces in sugar form to a large bowl. i used a little over 3 cups for 3 jars.
02 / for every cup of sugar, add 1/4 cup of coconut oil and blend the mixture with your hands. you can always adjust according to how you like your scrub. some like it dry and others like it real rich and soft.
03 / add in a few drops of peppermint to the mixture, making sure to blend it throughout. i personally used enough to fully mask the coconut smell.
04 / on a paper plate, pour some sugar out and a drop of red dye. blend the red into the sugar with a spoon, evenly coating the sugar.
05 / once the red sugar has hardened, break up the pieces and slowly fold into the scrub. if you blend it too much, the scrub turns pink! it’s cool if you’re down for that, but i wanted mine to look like little candy cane pieces!
06 / spoon your mixture into the jars and add the tags!
