As Griffin likes to say, I’m a “caffiend” and he’s not wrong. I love coffee and caffeine as much as Anthony Bourdain loves food and traveling. If for any reason I don’t get my cup of coffee by 9am sharp, I will be snoring at my desk, face down, before noon. We have a small coffee shop we go to regularly and lucky for us it’s right across the street from work. They recently start carrying something called Frizz, and soon it became our favorite espresso on a warmer day.
Frizz is a carbonated espresso that tastes pretty good on its own but when you add a splash of cream, a little vanilla, and ice – well you’ve hit the jackpot of delicious beverages. It’s so good! As the days are getting warmer, I thought I would share this super easy concoction for all my coffee peeps out there.
You can buy Frizz on Amazon, but I found mine at Metropolitan Market in Seattle and literally wiped them out. Don’t worry, there were only like six left. It’s sort of like an energy drink, so most of the time you should be able to find them in that area at the grocery store. Some little coffee shops also carry them.
All you need to do is fill up a glass, preferably a cool one like this, with vanilla ice cream. Pour Frizz over and enjoy! Like I said, it’s not really a recipe, more of a please-try-this-because-you-need-to type thing. You could also add some Irish Cream or Coffee Liqueur for an adult float. I’m sure these would be a huge hit at any party this summer! For some added flair and color, cut up some macarons and sprinkle on the top. I used cherry and coconut which tasted great with the coffee and ice cream
Happy Drinking! xo
