If you haven’t heard of My Woolly Mammoth yet, you are totally missing out! My friend from grade school started crafting these pretty paper flowers and they have sprouted up everywhere! Her Etsy account is full of all sorts of flowers and bouquets. When she asked if there was anything I would like, naturally I gravitated towards these pink ones. Huge surprise, right?! I was also eyeing this backdrop and these gift box flowers, such a great idea for Mother’s Day.
What I love about her paper flowers is the ability to reuse them over and over again, without the impending doom of death. (Unfortunately I can barely keep air plants alive…) She does a lot of custom wedding bouquets that are GORGEOUS and well crafted. I’m so happy I have a small collection to use for styling photos. My favorite is updating the tabletop by creating an interesting centerpiece and spacing them down the table like a runner. You can also use smaller ones for table place cards, sticking a name on a piece of paper just below. Guests can even take them home as party favors. Mine paired well with some cake from Susanne’s Bakery and my tea towel from the Leif Shop for a pop of color.
As most of you know, growing a business takes time and money. She is working on getting a studio, where she can make flowers and host workshops! You can check out her KickStarter Campaign here. When you pledge a certain amount, you get flowers or bouquets, so it’s a win-win. I really love what she does and the creativity behind it. Seriously, she also makes monsterosa leaves and mushrooms out of paper!
