Has anyone made a bucket list before? Like a real one you spend most of your life looking at to cross stuff off? I have a friend who has one with like 40 different things on it, from visiting Antarctica to learning to fly a plane. it’s pretty awesome, actually. As a person who loves writing lists and organizing my thoughts, it seems fitting that I do the same, right? I can refer to this list to remind me that life isn’t all about working, but rather finding meaningful things you want to achieve or where you want to go in life.
I decided to of course frame this list, reminding me daily that instead of buying something I don’t need, I should be paying off debt and saving money to go on adventures. (Oh, and saving money for the future and stuff.) Seriously, would you rather go on a safari or buy a new pair of shoes?! I broke my bucket list into several categories, one for work related goals, one for learning new things, and my favorite- TRAVEL.
One of my biggest fears in life are sharks. I seriously google shark attacks on a weekly basis..it’s a weird and interesting and terrifying. We’re going to Oahu in October and one thing I will be doing is swimming with sharks. Well, kind of. Does swimming in a glass cage under water still count? I think it should. Either way it is something I have wanted to do forever and hopefully it will change how I feel about them because I’m sure as hell watching The Shallows will not.
My list also includes visiting Anthony Bourdain’s favorite spot (do you know what it is?!), eating Hum Bao in Shanghai (because it’s insanely delicious), and going on an African safari. I stumbled upon Giraffe Manor and fell in love. When I visit Africa I will for sure be staying here a few days.
So what do you think? Will you be visiting any of these places? Can you think of anything else I should add?
