Iced Thai Coffee with my French Press!

April 9, 2017

In case you didn’t know, I started a new job about a week ago and although I am loving it, I also have to wake up at 6:00am…I’m not a morning person, never have been and never will. This means I reverted back to my old ways of drinking coffee. BRIKA was insanely thoughtful and sent me a few gifts and this French Press was a godsend! I love how much better coffee tastes when made in a French Press and I’ve been experimenting  with all sorts of recipes. My favorite so far has been a Thai recipe that I tweaked to my preference and it’s been delicious! The recipe below is my version of this one here.

INGREDIENTS

1 Cup Strong Brewed Coffee
1 Tbsp Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/4 teaspoon Almond Extract
1/2 teaspoon Cardamom
Pinch of Cinnamon

Mix the ground coffee and cardamom before putting in the French Press or your coffee maker. Once you have brewed your coffee, let it cool. Add in ice, almond extract, and the sweetened condensed milk and stir. Side note – I don’t like super sweet coffee so I took out the sugar since I added the condensed milk. I don’t know why but the milk made the coffee taste better! I was out of cream and the milk was just sitting all alone in the pantry. It’s great! Add in a pinch of cinnamon and voila! Delicious coffee to wake you up.

Pick up this cutie from BRIKA too! I love it so freaking much!
